We interviewed three academics, and pressed them for the one factor that underpins exam success (outside the obvious point of knowing your stuff!).
They all touched upon the same theme: making the most of the time you have.
In this video, you will find out:
- How regular consolidation of what you learnt in class can help you in an exam
- Why mock papers can prevent you from running out of time in an exam
- The importance of answering all the questions in an exam paper

Over to you
What will you take from this article when revising for an upcoming exam?
For my upcoming exam on unit 2, I'm going to practice answering the 12 mark question from the 2021 paper, under timed conditions, allocating myself 30 minutes.
- I will focus on planning my answer first, so I can capture as many marks as possible within the first 15-20 minutes
- This gives me some time to read through my answer before my deadline
- This in turn will let me experience some of the stresses in completing questions on time and sets a benchmark for me to improve on
