Term Description
bias

Favouring one approach, view, argument or person rather than another. This is normally in a way that will feel unfair or lacking in balance. 
Example: In academic writing, bias may indicate that the writer is favouring one argument or trying to force their own ideas on the reader.

biased

When something shows favour to one approach, view, argument or person rather than another in a way that can be unfair or lacking in balance.
Example: When a movie or book only shows one side of a particular story without giving equal information to the other part of the story.

bibliography

A list of the books or sources that was used in the writing of an academic article or report.

blog

A method of publishing information online, similar to keeping a journal and writing entries.

brainstorming

A way to create ideas and ways of solving problems in which suggestions can be discussed and worked on without judgment.
